Kitchen of curiosity


Since moving to Paris, I live much closer to the kitchen, simply because my living room merges into it and that I have cooked a lot more during the seemingly never-ending lockdown

Ingredients for my dishes naturally became materials for my images. and I liked that as food can become the most relatable
and inclusive element in a picture. It has forms and
colours that people recognised instantaneously.

In my experiments I treat food as non-food objects — mixing  foodthat wouldn’t taste good together, using food as an accessory or using food to pick up a piece of cutlery instead of its normal function.

When I have an idea to try out,  food is always ideal as sketch material. Plus, there’s no waste in the process!
